How does the ranking work?
The ranking is built from player votes. The frontend does not decide the order: scores are calculated by the portal API.
Votes
Every player can vote for a server once per day. Votes from logged-in accounts and anonymous votes are counted separately and both numbers are shown publicly.
Weights
A vote from an account counts more than an anonymous vote. The weights are set by the portal and can change; a change applies to the whole ranking window.
Time window
Only votes from the last 30 days are counted, so the ranking reflects the current state of servers.
Abuse protection
Every vote is verified with a challenge. Votes that look automated or unusual are held back and reviewed by moderators, and they do not count until approved.
Ping, status and players
Status, ping and player count are informational and do not affect the ranking. Ping is the connection time measured from the portal server, not your own latency.
